    Hi

Posted this in pre-sales forum and was kindly asked to repeat this in the PRO forum since I have it.

Yesterday I bought Events Calendar Pro. The only reason I got the PRO version is because I wanted to show the calendar in a page of mine instead of it’s own dedicated page.

Anyway my client of mine wants to have a calendar containing several meetings during the year with required RSVP functionality and I want to insert them in Events Calendar. So far so good. Now we have a list of about 60 users in the WP database and the calendar is located in the private part of the website meaning users must be logged in to RSVP. So I have Event Tickets plugin too (not the PLUS version, for now…)

    Questions:

    1) When I want to RSVP I would have expected as logged in user to have the full name and email fields PRE-filled. This is not the case. Kind of annoying to fill this when you’re logged in already. Will it be the case with the PLUS version? This is really a must to encourage the users to use the website. I can see you can add custom fields with PLUS but will those 2 basic fields will be pre-filled if the user is logged in with PLUS version?

    2) Is it possible to remove the choice of choosing the number of RSVP’s per user or limiting this to 1 per user? For me one user equals 1 RSVP.

    3) Is it possible to show the list of attendees in the single event view (sort of like Doodle) in the front end so that others can see who’s going and who’s not and of course allowing only the logged in user to edit it’s own RSVP? I know where to find the list it in backend.

    4) Is it possible for some events to pre-RSVP ‘going’ for all users in the database meaning by default they will be present and should they not come that only have to set it to not going. In the backend or something? This would be really cool.

    5) Where am I able to edit the single event page template?

Thank for your responses. I hope I can do all this with the PLUS version or at least have some alternatives.

    Hi, Christophe.

    Thanks for your business!

I’ll try to answer each question:

The only reason I got the PRO version is because I wanted to show the calendar in a page of mine instead of it’s own dedicated page.

It sounds like you should be using the tribe_events shortcode.

    1)

Pre-filling RSVP fields for logged-in users will (very likely, no guarantees) eventually be available as a free Extension, but it’s not yet. Such functionality is not available in Event Tickets Plus because the eCommerce plugin (e.g. WooCommerce) would use the person’s billing address details.

    2)

Although we’ll likely have an Extension for this in the future too, you could implement a code snippet like

    https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/80b33455779b74ec49f6ea3033cb47bf

and then replace .attr( ‘readonly’, true ) with .hide() and that should work for you if you want the input hidden instead of readonly.

Note that this particular snippet will only be good to use if you only have 1 ticket per event.

    3)

I’m not familiar with your Doodle reference, but Event Tickets Plus does add a “Who’s Attending” section to display what you’re wanting, like this: https://cl.ly/0U2N2q3D2v3k

    4)

I don’t think I’ve heard of this request before.

You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.

This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

    5)

    Please reference our Themer’s Guide.

FYI: In our forums we keep our threads focused on just one issue at a time (not 6, like in this thread) to ensure we fully answer each of your questions/issues. Please keep this in mind for the future. Thanks for your understanding. Since you already re-posted your question, I didn’t want to ask you to do it again, but you should expect this in the future.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

Thank you very much for your clear responses. I thought those were originally pre-sales questions that’s why I posted it there first but I understand what you mean :).

I will think about the purchase.
