ParticipantHello
I’ve updated to the bug fix versions of 4.3.4.1 but I’m now having conflicts with Divi theme. Full width header images are appearing as huge and taking ages to download. This is the case on both Event Tickets and Event Calendar independently of each other. This did not happen prior to update and I’ve just spent a whole lot of time re-developing the site around these plugins and now can’t sell anything through the site.December 12, 2016 at 11:55 am #1204848George
ParticipantHey Gray,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m really sorry to hear about these issues!
Neither plugin of ours that you mentioned adds “full width header images” onto web pages, so the full width header images you’re referring to sound like they’re coming from either your theme or from custom coding you’ve implemented.
With this in mind, I would encourage you to contact your theme support for further assistance with those images.
If you disagree and think that our plugins are explicitly the cause here, my apologies for misunderstanding! In this case though, please provide a link to a specific place on your site where “Full width header images” are appearing, and explain how our plugins are causing those to not work as you desire.
Thank you!

ParticipantHi George
The image in the header goes large when your plugins are active but normal ‘fit screen’ size when I deactivate them. There are no other plugins activated at the moment. It only happened when I ran the 4.3.4.1 update so I can only think that it is an conflict with the plugin. This is the link to the site with you plugins activated and I’ll drop a screen shot below to show you how it looks with the plugins deactivated. Thanks for your prompt reply and help in this matter. http://chirunning.uk

ParticipantHi George
I’ve had to reinstall the 4.3.4 version of both plugins to make them work. I can’t show a live example of the issue at the moment as otherwise the site is not working. But there is obviously an issue with the 4.3.4.1 update and Divi theme. Let me know what best to do now.
Thanks

ParticipantHey @Gray,
Thanks for this โ I’m sorry to bear this news, and I understand the situation you describe when you upgrade to 4.3.4.1, but if possible, can you please keep 4.3.4.1 so that I can see the broken featured image there and try to recommend a fix?
I understand the inconvenience of this and am genuinely sorry about it, but there’s not really another way for me to go about fixing your specific issue here. ๐ I can assure you I will work quickly and pay close attention to this thread so as to minimize the amount of time your site is in that broken state!
Thank you,
GeorgeDecember 13, 2016 at 7:53 am #1205207Gray
ParticipantHi George
I’ve done this. The only four plugins active are Events Calendar, Events Calendar Pro, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus
Best wishes

ParticipantHi Gray,
I’ve been taking a look at your home page and have identified a number of JavaScript errors โ however, they don’t seem explicitly related to our plugins at all, so I’m a bit confused about why only the 4.3.4.1 versions of our plugins are giving you grief.
I was unfortunately not able to come up with a quick custom code solution on-the-spot like I’d hoped โ with this in mind, I would recommend the following things:
1. Revert your version of The Events Calendar to 4.3.4 in the meantime so that things look alright.
2. Upload a .zip of your theme and your child theme (if using one) to a site like Dropbox, or http://ge.tt, or cloudup.com, etc โ then share the download link so that I can download your theme files and try to replicate your issues on my own local test site, so that I can dig a bit deeper into this.
3. In the meantime, while you wait for me to do that digging into your theme, please contact the Divi theme folks as well. The JavaScript errors that arose don’t seem explicitly related to our plugins, despite your findings. For example, you could share with the Divi folks that on your homepage there were two uncaught exception: undefined errors, and also the error TypeError: body is null, which I think is specifically the culprit here…they may be able to shed some light on this, because again, neither error is related to our plugins directly, so it’s a bit weird.
โ With these three steps, you’ll be in a state where your site looks okay temporarily to the public (because it’ll run 4.3.4 while we work on the issues); you’ll be in dialogue with the Divi team to get their insights on this; and we’ll be working on this with our own test sites and trying to zero in on a problem. So hopefully this process helps us move forward with your issues while keeping your actual public-facing site in action.
Sorry for the trouble, Gray. I appreciate your patience thus far and am determined to help resolve these problems.
Sincerely,
GeorgeDecember 13, 2016 at 9:57 am #1205418Gray
ParticipantHI George
I’ve reverted to the 4.3.4 plugins and all working fine now. I’ll go through the other steps you suggested and get back to you asap.
I really appreciate your help in this matter
Best wishes

ParticipantSounds good, Gray. Note step #2 above where I invite you to share theme files so I can try to take a look here as wellโI can’t guarantee I’ll find the problem in the theme, of course, and my speed may be a bit slow because I will be out-of-office Thursday and Friday this week, but I’m happy to look and at least try to spot the issue.
Cheers,

ParticipantI was personally not able to make much headway on these issues, Gray, and do not have a solution to recommend at this time. ๐
I appreciate your continued patience and am sorry for the disappointing news. I will see if another developer on our team is able to crack this nut…
Stay tuned!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
