ParticipantI just installed the latest version of Event tickets Plus and created about 40 event tickets in a page. To my demise when I viewed the page only 5 of them were being displayed.
Investigating further, I realized all the tickets, for which I had set a sale date of 04/18/2018 – 8:00 pm and end date 06/31/2018 12:00 am, all have null dates and times. When I try to set a start date and save it, it then sets the end date 1 hour before the start date. When I set the end date back to a future date, the start date disappears. I was able to consistently reproduce this behavior and the only way to make sure the tickets can be sold is to remove the 2 dates and save. Even then, the start date is null and start time is 12:00 am. This totally defeats the behavior of setting a sale start date, since now I can’t publish the page or else visitors will be able to buy tickets before the planned date.
I will be using the workaround for now but I am really disappointed such a basic bug can be pushed to the live version. Don’t you have any unit tests or integration tests in place to prevent these basic but breaking bugs to be pushed to all your clients?
Not what I was expecting after paying for a premium plugin.April 19, 2018 at 12:30 pm #1511557Victor
MemberHi Jami!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this issue.
I tried to reproduce the same issue on my end but I failed to do so.
I see you have tried the following:
- Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
- Switched to a default theme? Yes
Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?
If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting.
Also, could you please check if there are any console errors showing up after creating the tickets. We have an article that explains how to do that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/
Please let us know about it.
Thanks,
