    Hello support,
    I’ve received a spam event submission (i.e. an automatic one, not from a real person). How can this be prevented? Is there something I can set in the TEC Community plugin? Or is there another anti-spam plugin that works with TEC?

    Hi there Rafael! Nice to see you again. 🙂

    Good question. The strongest method around this is disable the ability for anonymous visitors to submit events. If you head over to Events > Settings > Community, make sure the option to “Allow anonymous submissions” is left unchecked and save your settings.

    Once you do this, the only people who can submit events are real people–because they have to have registered with your site first.

    Hi Geoff, thanks for your response. You make a good point. However I just upgraded to the brand new 3.9 version of the plugin and ‘what do you know’, there’s now a reCAPTCHA option ingegrated. That solves the issue perfectly! 🙂
