Event start & end dates are January 1, 1970

Ive disabled ALL plugins except for Events calendar and WP Maintenance mode. Changed to twentysixteen theme.
I used the sample Venues CSV and successfully added 12 venues.

1st issue: I use the sample events CSV file and preview. A few field drop downs are either incorrect or set to “Do not import” I set them to the correct field names and import. The message returned is “No events were added”
I try again and just leave the field drop downs as is and get 4 events added.

2nd Issue:
They all have start and end dates of January 1, 1970.

Well, the issue is gone and it had to do with the CSV file. I dont know what fixed it but what I did was start with a fresh Sample Venue CSV file and Event file. I changed all the dated to the same beginning and ending date to test it and they all loaded properly with proper dates. Even with my theme active. My advice is to use the sample CSV file as a base for your actual data and format it exactly as they do in the sample.
