Event specific tags

Hi guys,

the tags option not pretty useful for us at the moment. That is because we use the calendar on our newssite and have a lot of tags. If we add tags to the filter bar, we see all our news-tags and not only the event tags. Is there a way to filter on event-tags only?

Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to filter out the list of tags that you want to display by pasting this code snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/2f07cdfb455c8e416702

You’ll need to customize it to use the names of the specific tags that you want to remove, but hopefully that will help you get started. Just let me know if that does the trick.

Hi Casey,

thanks for the update. One small question. We like to remove 95% of the tags and only use a few specific one. Is there a way to change something in the php so that it works the other way around?
