ParticipantIm experiencing a “soft-cap” of 5 copies of an event series showing up in the calendar. I need to see all registered event occurances.
I cant find any setting controlling this. The amount of events on each page is set to 10.The same event should occur at custom dates and custom times, but has a fixed length.
Ive added 10 dates as Event Series: Once
When opening the events admin page, the first 4 are toggled open, but the rest ar folded close by default. Only five show up in the calendar. If I delete one of the early occurances, a later one shows up in the calendar. This is true for the admin page list of all events, and all views in the front-end except in list-view they show up in the hover-over of “(show all)”, so they are in the database…
I downloaded the error_log, but im only getting this:
[15-Jun-2018 16:28:22 UTC] the-events-calendar/common – Log: Starter Tribe Events på Jun, 15th at 04:06:22 pmJune 20, 2018 at 1:13 am #1556839Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.
I did some testing, but so far I have not been able to recreate this issue on my end. Can you first try running through the steps outlined here to test for any conflicts that might be occurring with your theme or another plugin? Once you get down to a default environment (all other plugins besides The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro disabled and a default theme like Twenty Seventeen enabled), try creating a new recurring series with the same rules as this one to see if all of the instances that you set show up. Make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled while testing, and if you do see any errors, copy/paste them into your reply.
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantIve done all the debug steps.
Can you please try to add the Norwegian character “Ø” to the title of your event and see if this introduces bugs for you?

KeymasterHello,
I tested this out on my end, but I was not running into any issues using this character in my event titles. Did you determine that this was causing the issue with the events not showing up, or is this causing other issues for you?

ParticipantOk, so that is not the issue…
I think Im beginning to pinpoint it.When opening / reloading the event backend, some of the events in the once-series seem to be collapsed. If I republish the event with these collapsed, the collapsed events do not show up in the calendar. This means that a way to circumvent the bug, is actually to press the “once” tab on every event in the series before publishing… This seems tedious, but it works for some reason… The bug may then be in the process of loading the backend of the main event, and the instances in the event not being read correctly.
Is there some limits this process I should be aware of? Could a curl-issue cause this? Ive looked in the error_log but cant find anything related to the event calendar or event tickets.

ParticipantSo republishing an event series with closed series-occurances-toggle-divs shouldnt really make those events not appear in the calendar should they? But that is what Im experiencing.
This Javascript sets a timeout on loading recurrences, which is showing up in my console.
events-calendar-pro/src/resources/js/events-recurrence.js
Is there some way I can up this timeout/increase the recurrance? Is it recursive? Might the server deny a certain level of nestedness through max_nested_levels (or similar in php options)?I think maybe the recurrences of flipping open the event-series times-out. And that might explain why the number of toggled divs varies from refresh to refresh.

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for following up with that further info! I did some further testing on this on my end, and I am seeing only the first few recurrences “open” when the page loads, and if I make a change and save, the ones that were not open are not showing up for me on the front end, as you are seeing on your end.
I am logging this as a bug for our developers to take a look at. Regarding the Javascript, I will need to do some further investigating to see if this might be a possible solution. I will let you know what I find out!
In the meantime as a temporary workaround, you might want to see if you can condense some of the “Once” rules into one “Weekly” rule, which might at least allow you to avoid having to open each of the rules every time you update an event.
