Event Reminders

I think what you guys have done with the Calendar and woo tickets implementation is awesome…however what stops us for using this solution is a way to remind ticket purchasers of the event or to give customized emails per ticket type purchased. Do you have an eta on any plans to implement and reminder service????

Yeah this is something that’s VERY important to me too!! My members are already calling out for text and email reminders to be set up…but there’s no way at the moment. I’m starting to regret my purchase despite it otherwise being an excellent calendar. An event subscription/reminder plugin is urgently required for our users! When will one be available?

The only thing I could find is the ‘Event Alarm’ which only works with the Event Calendar Pro. Sadly it doesn’t work (no alarm went off when an event was due) and there’s no way to configure who receives the alarm or how. I have a mixture of people who want text reminders only, or email reminders only, and I need a plugin that will work with a calendar to let people subscribe to an event and choose to be reminded one way or the other. At the moment, the best I can offer them is to ask them to leave a comment asking to be reminded and then I will need to do it manually. Not exactly a great solution, but it is something for now. I’ll be very interested to see if there are any developments with this. I’ll also be interested if anyone knows of a different calendar that can do what I need it to do and then I’ll make a switch.

Here is a WooCommerce extension that does what you are looking for. It’s premium, but may be worth the license cost depending on your need.

I can’t recommend it myself or on behalf of Modern Tribe, but we are in the process of getting a copy and can endorse it one way or another soon, hopefully tomorrow.

If you think this should be a core feature, we’d love for you to submit your idea to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.

Thanks for the link Casey, much appreciated… I’ll take a look to see if it can do what I need and work well with the calendar. Got to say the calendar is fantastic, it looks really good and was lovely and easy to set up… it’s just the lack of subscriptions to an event or ability for users to set a reminder that lets it down. Hopefully I can get this extension to work 🙂
