Event "Post" into newsfeed

Hi Guys,
is it at all possible to pull an event “post” into the news feed. I see the events are based on post pages. It would be very helpful if it was possible to feature events on my pages news feed.

Hi Brian,
thanks for your response. I looked at the tutorial but unfortunately PHP is rather foreign to me. You know how the WP Posts always have categories you can set up and choose from. I was hoping that somehow my regular, categories would be incorporated into the event categories and I can just check an additional box and this would pull the Event also into my news feed on the front page. Is this even possible?

Hi Mike,

The Events Calendar uses its own Custom Taxonomy for the Event Categories. So it is separate from the Post Categories and does not connect the way you would like unforuntely.

We have any option to show Events in the Main Loop of your Blog here:

Events > Settings > Default Tab

The option is called: “Include events in main blog loop”

Not sure if that helps.
