Event page issues with photos

Hello!

In creating a single event, we encounter a few questions about the featured image:

1. What is the optimal size for the featured image? We’re using church-event theme, if that helps.

2. Is there a way to not have the featured image “scroll”? For example, on this event, if I’d like to only see the word ‘events.’

3. I can’t get the photo to not be award when it displays on the calendar – for example, here:
http://www.cathedralofmary.org/events/

I would love for it to look more like this:
https://www.northpointe.org/events/

Thanks for your detailed question.

We do not provide support for non-default WordPress themes (like Twenty Seventeen), per our Scope of Support / Terms.

Because your theme customizes the display of our plugin’s data — does not use our display/template files — your theme author is where you should seek support for this question.

 

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

FYI: for #1, that “scroll” effect is called “parallax”, which might help when discussing this with your theme’s support.
