Event Order in Calendar View

I would like to control the order in which my events are listed when you look at the Calendar View. Basically I would like all the colors to line up nice and clean. I read that you can use the Sticky Post option to make three events appear at the top. That does not seem to be working. I am sure this is covered somewhere but I have been looking for 2 day and can’t find a thread on it. http://johnsonsfarm.com/events/

It looks like you are using The Events Calendar Category Colors to colourize those events – while that’s a great plugin it isn’t one that Modern Tribe created and we’d respectfully ask you take any queries concerning it / further customizations centred upon it to it’s own support forum:

I read that you can use the Sticky Post option to make three events appear at the top. That does not seem to be working.

My understanding is that the stickiness is only used if there are more events in a given day than can be displayed in a single cell in month view – so if you aren’t hitting that limit (which is set in the Events → Settings → Display admin screen) you’re probably not going to see any difference, I’m afraid.

thank you for the help and I am sorry about the Event Category Color questions. So is there no way to control the order of events as viewed in the month view?

They are basically ordered chronologically by event date and time and then by publication date. If you have a custom scheme you want them to follow that’s possible, too, but it would involve some customization work.

Hi! Well I want a very clean calendar on the site: http://johnsonsfarm.com/events/
If you look at 12/13 you will see that it is out of wack with the rest of the week. Even through the start times of everything are the same. For next time so I enter the events in the order I would like them to appear?

You could probably build things up that way if you are very careful – it’s a slightly brittle way of doing things (in that it would easily be thrown off if you made a mistake), however. I’m afraid I’m not too sure what else to suggest though – beyond customizing things and fixing the ordering process with some custom code, though that’s a little beyond what we can help with here.
