ParticipantHello,
I am experiencing a very strange issue with the events navigation, the one visible on single events, where the “NEXT” and “PREVIOUS” links would not link to the correct upcoming/past event.
I have followed many of your tutorials in helping others debug similar issues, and nothing works.
Here are a few steps I already made:
– Updated plugins
– Updated WordPress
– Making sure the permalinks are set up properly
– Disabling recurring events
– Disabled the theme custom files and used the original files from your plugin, which is up to date
– Adjusted the TimeZone in WordPress SettingsHere you can see a list of all events: http://clubbonafide.com/schedule/
If you visit this event: http://clubbonafide.com/event/natalie-dietz-at-club-bonafide/, the bottom links for “Previous Event” and “Next Event” are not linking properly. For some events the navigation works ok, and for some it doesn.t
The PHP code used to generate this links is copied directly from your plugin files, no custom development added.I have discovered that this issue is more likely to happen when we have multiple events in one day, especially if they are 3 events in one day, then it really gets mixed up.
Please let me know what else I can provide or help with, in order to help fix this issue.
Thank you very much for this wonderful plugin, and for your great assistance! 🙂

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having.
We are seeing this bug and working to resolve it in an upcoming release.
It appears when single events have the same date and time it causes the next and previous links to skip over those events.
Do you believe that is what your issue is?

ParticipantHi Brian,
Thank you for your follow up!
Glad that that you confirm this bug as well, and just to answer your question: I don’t believe the hours are similar for events. Below you can see two events, and the hours used for each one, in case that helps to debug this issue. For example, the following two events:
http://clubbonafide.com/event/rubens-de-la-corte-at-club-bonafide/
Start hours 6:00 pm
End hours 11:55pmhttp://clubbonafide.com/event/telma-viale-at-club-bonafide/
Start hours 10:00 pm
End hours 10:00 pmThank you for your help!

MemberHey Lois,
Thanks for following up on this! Brian is out for holidays so I’ll continue to help you here.
From what I’m the release notes for 4.0.2 the issue that Brian refers to, single-event navigation failing for same date/time events should be fixed. I see this is the version you are running, so I guess the issue you mention is not the same.
Regarding the info you sent I see the Telma Viale event has the same start and end time. If you modify the end time (so that the event has an actual duration), is this issue fixed? In case it’s not I’ll try to reproduce this locally and investigate if this is a new bug indeed.
Please let me know about it,
Best,
NicoDecember 24, 2015 at 2:18 am #1046181Lois Gilbert Gilbert
ParticipantHi Nico,
Thank you for your follow up.
We tried adjusting the end time, and the issue is still present, so I don’t believe this might be the issue. Please let us know if we can help with any other information, if you can try to set this up on your end to test it as well, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help!

ParticipantHey @Lois,
Apologies for the delayed response here – @nico has been out of office for a bit and so I wanted to follow-up here.
Do you have any progress with this issue since your last post on December 24?
Thank you for your patience with this bug and the problems it has caused on your site.
Sincerely,
