ParticipantWe are using Events Tickets Plus with WooCommerce for many, many events.
The event name does not show in the confirmation email to say what event someone bought tickets for, only a ticket SKU (which we do not use).
Are we doing something wrong, or is this not part of the functionality? How do we fix this?

MemberGood evening Ken and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the confirmation emails not containing all the information you would expect. I would love to help you with this topic.
As a first step, would it be possible to get screenshots of one of your confirmation emails (in a private reply if you prefer). This way, I will be able to get a better understanding of what your specific issue is.
Secondly, can you confirm if the event name does display on the actual tickets that are being sent ?
In the meantime, I believe you will be interested in the following extension which adds functionality to Events -> Settings -> Tickets: https://theeventscalendar.com/content/uploads/2016/10/tribe-ext-tickets-email-options-0-3-0.zip
More specifically, it lets you add event information to WooCommerce emails.

Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks, Geoff.
The event name does NOT display on the actual tickets that are being sent. Nor are they in the PayPal transaction (attached).
The plugin might do what I need. I installed but cannot find settings anywhere. Is there documentation for this plugin somewhere?

MemberGood evening Ken,
Thank you for writing back and for the printscreen.
This allowed me to realize that you were referring to the Paypal receipt and not emails sent out by WooCommerce.Customization of Paypal’s receipt requires Paypal Pro if I am not mistaking OR the use of a third-party service such as https://www.webmerge.me/blog/send-customized-payment-receipts-from-paypal
Furthermore, the product details would actually have to be specified by WooCommerce’s interaction with Paypal, not by our plugin. This is caused by the fact that we literally hand over all the transactional aspect to WooCommerce.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantActually, the issue is resolved. The plugin added the option to include event and other metadata in the emails that went out from WooCommerce — or maybe it was already there and I didn’t see it? Anyway, PayPal details aren’t necessary if they have them in the other email.
Thanks!

MemberGood afternoon Ken,
I am glad the plugin helped to provide the info the Paypal receipt could not.
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!
