ParticipantHi, I’d like to display multiple event costs for an event. I’d like to show one full price and perhaps multiple alternative prices e.g. for a student or some other concession.
In the plugin I see only one cost option, so, if it’s possible how do I do it? If it’s not possible, is it planned for a future release?
Thank youOctober 29, 2012 at 3:04 pm #27328Leah
MemberHi Shane,
In Events Calendar Pro, there is only one field for “cost” when you set up your event, but there are a couple ways to display multiple prices with a little creativity.
The simplest way to do it is simply to list your event price(s) in your description. You could choose to either put the regular (non-student/member) cost in the cost text box, or leave that blank so that it doesn’t show up.
Another option is to use the Custom Fields to make different fields for Regular Price, Student Price, etc. You can read more about using Custom Fields here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-pro-new-user-primer/#custom
If you are interested in using our Eventbrite Tickets plugin, the event page will list any tickets you’ve created for the event, which can be multiple prices, etc. The Eventbrite plugin will also handle registration and payment of attendees. You can read more about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/
Does that help? Let me know if you need clarification on anything.

ParticipantThat’s been useful. I’ll work with my client to see that it does the trick. Certainly looks like it to me.

ParticipantIt’s just silly that multiple ticket prices is still a feature in waiting a 17 months later =/

MemberHi imperativeideas,
We actually now have 5 ticketing options that allow multiple prices, as well as full ticketing and registration functionality. Check them out on this site under Products! Additionally, you can put a range price in the Event Cost field with just The Events Calendar, so you can still show multiple ticket prices 🙂
Cheers,
