    Good day,
First of all I’m not sure this is an Enfold issue or an Events Calendar plugin issue, or both

For each of my events in single view, the Event Meta fields (which contain sponsor information ) are not showing up on the published page. The Event Calendar fields do show up, but specifically the Event Meta fields do not.

In my example I have an image and a link placed in the Event Meta fields and they should appear below the Details and Venue categories.

I have tested with all other plugins disabled and the issue remained.
I then thought there may have been a customization that prevented viewing these elements, but haven’t found any.

As far as I can tell, the fields should be showing up but I’m not certain what to try next – so I’m posting here and to the Enfold forums as well.

    WP Version 4.11
    Enfold 3.08
    Events Cal/Pro 3.91

Thanks in advance for any insight.

    Hi Jill,

    First of all, beautiful site.

Now, as for your issue, I’m curious – when you mention “Sponsor” information, do you mean information related to the “Event Organizer” fields that are included out-of-the-box with The Events Calendar?

If not, can you clarify exactly what and where these meta fields are, and how you’re adding data to them? Be as detailed as possible, and even take screenshots if necessary / possible.

And then related to those details: how are retrieving this information? In other words, what’s making you expect it to show up in that specific part of your Single-Events templates? Have you added custom PHP to the Single-Event views that’s supposed to be pulling data from meta fields or custom fields?

If so, I’d recommend posting any customization files you’ve made so we can take a closer look at them – to do this, paste the whole files, unedited and without removing anything from them, into their own Gists at http://gist.github.com. Then share links to these Gists.

We’ll take a closer look at all of the information here, thank you in advance for whatever you can share and for taking the time to do so!

    Cheers,
    George

    Hi George,

I believe this is actually an issue with a different plugin called Advanced Custom Fields. I inherited this site from another person and some of the names used in the ACF fields are the same as referenced in Events Calendar – which as you can imagine didn’t help the troubleshooting process.

I’m checking out issues with the other plugin and I’ll be in touch here when resolved, or with more useful information.

    Hey Cliff,

Thanks for the information, that’s definitely relevant and could indeed be the source of your troubles here.

Advanced Custom Fields is an incredibly well-built, well-documented plugin, so it’s possible (and, I would wager, likely) that there’s no actual issue here – i.e., nothing actually “broken”. You may just need to ensure the correct fields are being called, and that your customized Events Calendar views call the ACF plugin fields using the ACF functions for doing so.

Keep us posted on your progress – if you figure things out, let us know! 🙂

    Cheers,
    George

    Hello,

This issue’s been sitting here a while so I’m going to go ahead and close it for now – if other issues arise, don’t hesitate to come back and open a new ticket, and if you need to open a new ticket about the same issues you originally brought up here, please share a link to this original ticket so we can pick up where we left off.

    Cheers!
    George
