ParticipantI am not able to setup a sidebar with the event list widget filtering for an event category. It always shows all upcoming events. I tried following steps:
– create 2 event cats and 1 events per cat
– put widget on default sidebar
– i also removed the widget and put it again on sidebar
– When I edit the widget again, the selectbox for the filter is at its initial state.
Any ideas?July 8, 2014 at 8:12 am #310133Casey
Participantmikanx,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. Could you try testing for conflicts and let me know what you discover? I suspect that this might be an issue related to your theme or a plugin conflict, but want to confirm before troubleshooting further. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantAfter logging into your site, I noticed that your widget settings area is being customized by some plugin or theme you have installed (screenshot). This is what the default widget area looks like with no other plugins activated and the default theme activated (screenshot).
Please deactivate all non-Tribe plugins and switch to the 2013 theme, and then reply back here so I can log back in and investigate further. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantSo after doing deeper tests and some fresh installs, I could resolve it. It seems that your widget is not compatible with this little button “accessibility mode” in the option area of the widget page. if this button is activated, the widget is unable to save the filters and thats why the event list could not be filtered. Deactivating did it.
