Stuart
ParticipantHi,
My Theme seems to be overriding the ECP layouts.
I would prefer to use ECP’s instead of my themes.
What’s the easiest way for a non-coder to do this?
Thanks,

MemberHi there Stuart,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ll help you here…
The easiest way would be to rename the tribe_events folder inside your theme folder. There might be some extra style in other theme files. And also please note that a theme update will override this change, so I’d recommend reaching out to the theme authors on the best way of disabling there calendar customizations.
Hope that helps,
Have a great weekend,

ParticipantHi Nico,
I changed the name of the tribe_events folder and that really didn’t do it.
I’m using a child theme. Would it work for me to put the events php file or some other files in my child theme? Would that override the base theme? If so, what files would need to add and where to my child theme to make the event page have the following layout: http://wpshindig.com/events/list/
Many thanks,

MemberThanks for following up Stuart!
Not sure if this would work completely but you can try to create a ‘tribe-events’ folder in your child theme and copy over the following file wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list.php and the folder wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list/. Again, maybe the best way is to reach otu to their support and ask them about it. Although the original templates are in place they might have CSS and JS customizations that will affect the view as well.
Anyway give this a quick try and let me know if it works for you,
Best,

ParticipantHi Nico,
I tried that and it changed the layout a little bit, but not much.
I’ve reached out to the theme’s support and will see what they say.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
Thanks,
