Event list by category

Based on reading the knowledge base, there appears to be two ways to show events filtered by category, the tribe shortcode available with PRO and possibly the Filter Bar product. Both are $89, do I need PRO to use the Filter Bar? Is one better suited to displaying an event list of only one category? I am only using the free version currently and need this ability to continue to use this event planner. Thanks in advance!

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your interest in our plugin!

There are actually two different ways of filtering. Thanks to the Tribe shortcode available with PRO, you, as an admin, will be able to choose which categories you want to be displayed. On the other hand, Filter Bar will allow your users to select which categories should appear.

Both plugins are independent; you don’t need PRO to use Filter Bar.
