Hey friends. On our site (WesleyUnited.org), the event information of an event is not showing up on individual event pages. This includes the event title, location, time, and organizer. The only thing that shows up is what was entered in the standard WordPress window. This happened once we updated to the most recent version of Events Cal, Events Cal Pro, and Divi.

After deactivating all other plugins the problem still existed.
Once we switched to the 2014 theme with other plugins deactivated, the problem was fixed.
When we went back to Divi, the problem came back.

Can you please help us out to get the information displayed because because as of right now, the plugin is almost useless in its current form.

    Hello Wesley United,

Thanks for getting in touch and I’m sorry you are having this issue.

I believe this comes from the style settings for the calendar.

Under Events > Settings > Display tab you most probably have ‘Default page template’ set. Try switching to ‘Default events template’ and see if that fixes it for you.

    Let me know the result.

    Cheers,
    Andras

That seemed to have partially worked. We’re getting the details content, but we’re also getting text thrown into the bottom of every event. It reads:

“Join Wesley United Methodist Church for an upcoming event for praise and worship, bible study, fellowship or spiritual growth.”

    Any idea what’s causing that?

Happy to hear we took a step forward.

I currently don’t see that text on your events, might be you are using a staging site – wisely.

Check if you have anything under Events > Settings > Display tab > Advanced Template Settings section > Add HTML after event content box. That is the one that would do something like this.

Hey Andras. We had changed the template type back earlier today at the request of Divi’s support team. Sorry about that!

However, you were spot on about the Add HTML area. Thanks for that!

Lastly, and this is a weird one, since the update, we’ve got a blog post that is pulling a random image from one of our events. I have no clue what’s causing it but it seems to be related to the plugin update. Any idea on that one? Here’s the link:

    Hello,

I’m stoked to hear that got fixed as well!

About the random image, I guess you are talking about the “featured image” above the post, right? I also see there is a gallery at the bottom of the page.

I’m not quite sure, but if I remember correctly, if there is no featured image set, then Divi pulls the first image of the gallery or something. Check if this setting has any effect:

Divi > Theme options > General tab > Grab the first post image

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Andras

PS: If you like our plugins, and you didn’t yet do so 🙂 we would be happy to receive a review in the wordpress.org repository. Thanks!
