GuestHi – wondering if the Event Filter add on has the ability to sort Speakers alphabetically. I would like the artists, AKA speakers, on this page to sort alphabetically. http://www.boneyardartsfestival.org/artists/
If this add on does not accommodate, where can I get support for custom development of this need?
Many thanks,
Liz

ModeratorHello,
I you visit our demo site and select the “Show Filters“, it will bring up the Filter Bar to allow users to further filter events. The list of organizers is in alphabetical order:

I took a quick look at the site you linked to and it doesn’t appear to be using our plugins. While we include many different options (example 1, 2) aimed to make the plugins “fit in” with your theme, there might be some instances where you need to create customizations as outlined in our Themer’s Guide and hopefully you’re a little familiar with CSS.
The closest I could find that resembled the site you displayed is our demo site’s Photo view. With the use of our shortcodes, you could probably come up with a way list organizers (Speakers, in your case) in alphabetical order and mimic the look/feel of the site you shared with me. Here is all of our shortcode-related documentation which is only available with a PRO license:
- PRO Widget Shortcodes
- Embedding Calendar Views with the [tribe_events] Shortcode
- Inserting Calendar Content into Posts or Pages
- Embedding Single Events with the [tribe_event_inline] Shortcode
Let me know if this helps and have a great weekend. Cheers!

GuestThanks for your answer. I’m not quite sure what you mean by “it doesn’t appear to be using our plugins”…see attached? I am using the wrong plugin or do I need an additional license?

ModeratorI quickly skimmed over the site, hence the reason I said, “it doesn’t appear…” My apologies for making assumptions. I’m unsure of the licenses you currently own, but you’ll need to purchase the Filter Bar in order to gain the “Organizers” filter.
Sorry again if I caused any confusion and please let me know if this clears things up. Enjoy the evening 🙂

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
