I have a client who wants to display appointments to users who are logged in to WordPress. I’ve looked at several appointment calendars, but they all seem to be geared toward allowing people to book appointments online, and these users can not book appointments without calling the company. The company sends service providers and equipment to the customer’s site to work on meters. They would like to be able to add the appointments to the calendar, and allow the customer to log in and see their own appointments, but not any other appointments. Is it possible to configure The Events Calendar to provide this kind of display?
Unfortunately, we do not have the features you are looking for. It could be possible with a customization, but it would be a significant one and we are unable to provide much support on that.
Thanks for your response. I am still wondering, after looking at the Filter Bar description, whether I could get this to work. Each customer location could be considered a venue, which would give me the filter I need, and then I would need to figure out how to display each venue only to the logged in customer corresponding to that location (and of course the admin). Does that sound possible from what you know of the code?
That is an interesting way to approach it. I think it could be possible, but still would be a significant customization and I think the structure of the coding might fight trying to do this so I would say the only way to really do it would be fork the plugins and maintain your own versions.
I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic on the forum and we can help you out.
Thanks
