MemberHi there, Peter! Thanks for getting in touch. π
Great question. By default, the country that is selected in the “Event Location Details” section in the single event editing screen Β is what will display in that field. Here’s a screenshot of what field that is in the editing screen.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. π
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
thank you for your feedback.OK – that works – but is there a possibility to do this generally. Otherwise I have to edit many, many Locations.
Thank you for your help!

MemberGood question. You can set a default country under Events > Settings > Default Content. However, this will only take effect on a moving forward basis–events that have already been published will need to be edited.
Cheers!

ParticipantOK – I discovered that default setting – but a bit to late.
Is it possible with a SQL-DB edit?
Which field is used for this?Thank you – cu peter

MemberYes, a SQL scrub would certainly do the trick as well. Just as a precaution, I do suggest backing up your database before making any edits. I’m sure you would anyway, but I always like to mention that. π
That data might be in more than one field, so a search and replace is likely your best best for wiping out references to United States.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
ok, thank you!
I have a second question regarding search – I tried to search for the location “Erlangen” – but the result makes me wondering – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0TqEFDVcQi8dWJEQ29jVWZYTVE/view?usp=sharing
No matches for “Erlangen” but there are many, many entries like this.
Any idea?Thank you – cu peter
