Event description is stripped of it's formatting.

Event descriptions do not display any formatting.

You may view the calendar at:

    http://blacklabgallery.com/events/

Take for example January 19th. Upon hovering, you can see the excerpt is stripped of it’s tags (

    ,, etc).

Out of all the display views, the single-event is the only one that displays properly.

I understand this is a wordpress “feature” to strip excerpts, and that Modern Tribe has done this for compatibility, however, I don’t understand why you have not given the users the choice to customize this functionality. It is a very basic request to want a line break in an excerpt, yet it is impossible without various hacks/workarounds which I have not been able to figure out.

The excerpts are formatted because that’s how I want them to display. Please tell me how to fix this issue, and please tell me that there are developments in the works to solve this problem for users. I have a very hard time believing that users aren’t frustrated by the fact that they can’t have bold text or line breaks in their event descriptions.

    Thank you for your support.
