Event Day View – display events by category

Hello,
Today, on the Day’s events list view, the events are listed by the time of event.
I would like to have the events displayed by category, so in the Day list view there will be:
Category A and then under that category list the events by hour
Category B and then under that category list the events by hour
and so fourth.
Attached is a small sketch to disaplay.

What would be the best way of doing so?

What you are describing is possible using the function tribe_get_events() You can find out more about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/

You’ll need to move the day-view template into your theme directory. You can find out how to do that in our themer’s guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
