Event date vs Publish date

Hi all,

Im using EC with FB plugin; importing events from various FB pages. I had an id to TOP some of the Event on my slideshow on my homepage based on tags or category, but here I notice that WordPress is ignoring the publish date article, but as relevant time is taking date of Event.

Basically all WP slideshow /s are working with the latests posts, the first Event in slideshow is always the latest one. I would like to ask if its possible that the WordPress accept the publishing date instead Event “real” date.

Here is a good knowledgebase article that may be helpful for you here. You may have to do some modification to target the query used for the slider but the impact should be the same there.
