ParticipantHello everyone,
I am having an issue with not being able to translate date and time.
The month and date names are not simply text strings that are found in the template files, rather, those strings are created inside the Events Calendar plugin itself, and not by the theme, so there’s no way for me to provide text strings for translation.This is true for both Calendar page and single event page:
Calendar page => http://wordpress-24506-nenadlekan.vpsapps.net/srpski/events/
http://wordpress-24506-nenadlekan.vpsapps.net/srpski/event/disney-live-mikijeva-magicna-predstava/.po/.mo file that you provide include date/time strings translated, but they are of no help.
Your help regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

MemberHi Nenad – you mean for the months, days of the weeks etc? I believe these are actually obtained from WordPress’s global WP_Locale object and so you would need to ensure the relevant translations exist in the core WP language files.

ParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for the response, I am still looking for a solution to this problem.
You will see that on the right hand side of the page the only thing that didn’t translate is the date and time. In this case the following date and time: “07 February, 2013 – 10 February, 2013” and “5 pm-10 pm”If these are obtained from the WP_Locale as you say, how can I set it up so the proper language version is displayed? I am running a WPML plugin in order to run a multilingual website, and am a little confused as to the proper setup.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

MemberHi Nenad.
This is really something you need to solve at the WordPress level (note that your dates are in English format across the entire site, not only on event pages). These two articles may be helpful:
– WordPress in Your Language
– Translating WordPressBeyond that I’m afraid there is not too much we can do – since, again, this relates to WordPress as a whole, not only The Events Calendar. Perhaps WPML can offer some further help here? They probably are a lot more knowledgeable about translating WordPress than we are 🙂
