Melissa
MemberHi,
I was originally using wordpress 3.1 and the events were out of order on the list page. I read on the forum the solution was to upgrade to 3.2.1, so that is now what I am using, with the latest version of the events calendar and it made the events order correctly.
The website is: http://www.bostonbiker.info/events/
The issues I am having now are, I added the categories to the top of the list view. However, when you click on them, it is showing a 404 page not found. It is trying to use the link http://www.bostonbiker.info/events/mycategoryname (http://www.bostonbiker.info/events/june-2012)
If I manually change the link to http://www.bostonbiker.info/events/category/june-2012 it brings up a page that says “No upcoming events listed under June 2012. Check out past events for this category or view the full calendar.” However, there are events in that category.
The next issue:
From here, http://www.bostonbiker.info/events/ the previous events show no events even though there are previous events. Then when you try to click next events from there, the link is not active.
Lastly, not sure why on the event pages, no info is showing up: http://www.bostonbiker.info/event/brittanys-motorcycle-run/
Thank you so much!!

MemberI want to create a way of searching on list view for events by month and year. I though an easy way of doing this was just to make each month a category. Essentially, I would like to have a search feature like this website: http://nhccrr.org/category/events/upcoming and would like to know how they did this.

ParticipantHi Melissa,
Looks like there’s a number of things going on. Would you mind giving me WP admin and FTP access so I can take a look?
I do not know how the nhccrr.org put together their search. I would suggest contacting them and asking. We do not provide support for complex custom programming. However, I can tell you that we are looking into an events search/filtering mechanism but I have no idea when…

ParticipantHi Melissa,
I took a look at things and there’s something in your theme that is preventing The Events Calendar from working properly. I switched to the Twenty Ten theme and things seemed to be working correctly. We’ve done our best to make sure our plugin works with the most themes possible but because there are so many themes out there we cannot possibly make our plugin compatible for all of them.
What I would suggest is updating to WP 3.3 to see if that makes any difference and/or waiting until the next version of our plugin comes out which should be soon.
If that doesn’t work you will have to hire a developer to help you with this issue. Good luck.
