Event categories checkboxes all checked in advance

So sorry to hear you’re having issues with this. Could you try reverting to the Twenty Thirteen theme to see if this issue persists? I suspect that this is an issue with the theme that you’re using.

It worked by adding this in override.css file of my theme:

#tribe-community-events #event-categories ul li:before {
display: none;
}
