Event categories and themes…

Hi.

Great plugin. I’ve noticed that you folks have (wisely) added the option of putting events in the standard post loop.

We’d gladly buy and use the plugin if it did the same thing for event categories. Most every theme nowadays has some way of featuring posts from a specific category on it’s front page – but it appears that you don’t offer the same option of adding event categories to the standard WP categories. Am I missing something?

Hi Mark,

You are correct that isn’t something that the plugin is designed to do out of the box. But another user asked a similar question previously over at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/utilize-regular-categories-instead-of-event-categories/. In that case, using tags instead of categories was suggested as a workaround. Do you think that is something that might suit your needs as well?
