Event Carousel Shows Events by Post Date Rather than Upcoming Event Dates

I purchased Events Calendar Pro yesterday and I everything fine, including recurring events through September 2018.

I have Events Carousel on my home page (http://www.phoenixkappas.com) and the events the carousel are showing by post date (older first). It seems to me that the Events Carousel should show upcoming events starting the next event. I went through events > settings and I do not see anything that would cause the Events Carousel to behave in this fashion.

I would like to get this working soon as I am launching my site tomorrow and one of the features my users want is the carousel..

You say you have “Events Carousel” on your page — can you please clarify where this “Events Carousel” comes from? Is it a feature of your theme, for example?

Our own plugins to not offer an “Events Carousel” feature, so I just want to make sure I’m accurate in understanding where this feature is coming from on your site.

Hi George,

The Events Carousel is included with my WordPress theme. Since my theme included open-source (free) version of Events Calendar, I assumed that the Events Carousel was also a part of Events Calendar. My apologies for that.

I will follow up with the developers of my WordPress theme.

Also, do you have a recommendation for a good events carousel that works with Events Calendar Pro?

No problem Milton, thanks for clarifying the origin of that feature. I agree that contacting the theme makers is the best approach here, as they will best be able to look into their carousel feature and its event-ordering issue here.

As for the recommendations of other event carousels, I unfortunately do not know of any specific carousels out there. You may be able to ask about this from specific theme authors—for example, if you see a theme with a “blog post” carousel you specifically like, you should ask them if it would support a custom post type like Events well.
