Event Calendar "This Event is Passed"

I purchased a theme that has the event calendar as part of the package. When I add an event there are two things i am having issues with.

1. When I post a new event at the top of the details page of the event I am getting a message that says “This Event has Passed” event though the event date has not even happened.

2. Also the venue details is being duplicated on each event.

Why I want to purchase the Pro version, but don’t feel safe doing so before these issues are fixed.
Can anyone help

Hey Bob,

Thanks for reaching out.

We do not endorse any theme and it is actually a very bad practice for theme authors to include plugins inside their themes.

So, unfortunately you might be using an out-of-date version of The Events Calendar on your site.

I would recommend DELETING the version of The Events Calendar included by your theme. Then just install the real, free, actual version of the plugin which is found here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar

If issues persist with the real, actual version of The Events Calendar, then contact your theme author about those issues because their theme should support the real version of The Events Calendar.

Neither of the issues you mention are ones that I can recreate myself or that we have other reports of at this time, so that’s why I assume that your version is out-of-date and/or being broken by the theme.
