ParticipantHi, I have been using the pro version on this website for months, and suddenly the Events list stopped displaying and instead both the Calendar view and the List view display as the default blogroll. I downgraded to Calendar Pro 3.2 thinking this was the cause but no joy. Can anyone help me out?

ParticipantHowdy jcav606,
Oi! That is crazy. I suspect that you could require a permalink refresh. To do that could you do the following:
1) Go to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks (or [your site]/wp-admin/options-permalink.php)
2) Click save.
Did that fix it perchance? If not, could you please run through some diagnostic steps for me? First, could you try temporarily activating the default 2013 theme, and seeing if the issue persists.
If disabling the theme fixes it, we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict. Do you have any theme overrides for the Events Calendar in your custom theme? If so could you try disabling them by renaming your [themename]/tribe-events/ folder to ‘tribe-events-bak’.
If the issue persists in the default 2013 theme, then we have a different set of debugging steps. Please keep the 2013 theme enabled, and also disable any plugins other than the ones from Modern Tribe to see if that fixes is. If it does, please try reenabling them one at a time until the issue resurfaces.
Let me know if the permalink flush fixed it for you. If not, could please tell me the result of the diagnostic steps? I’d be glad to clarify anything or answer further questions as well. Cheers!

ParticipantHi Brook. Permalink flush didn’t fix. Events list works in 2014 theme so apparently it is a theme conflict….but it was working fine and suddenly stopped. I have no theme overrides, just some minor CSS styling changes that were working perfectly. Tried with plugins disabled. No luck. I am using Headway as a base for a child theme. I have heard that there are problems using the plugin with Headway, but as i said, it was working exactly as intended for months. The bad part is, this whole site reason for being is for events to be listed. Suddenly stopped. Since I designed the site, I am willing to hire a PHP person to get this working again if that is what is needed…

ParticipantOK, here is more info. As soon as I turn on Headway’s custom query filter, Event Calendar Pro stops working. At this point I don’t know where the problem lies, but it would be great if your development team could reach out to the Headway development team and try to find a work-around. There is a huge installed base of Headway users and they would love to hear in the Headway user forum that your great plugin is now compatible with Headway.

ParticipantHowdy jcav606,
Thanks for sharing the resolution! A big help for other users.
I looked into this to see if there is something we can do. Unfortunately I do not see how that will be possible. Really it would require them to bake Events Calendar support into their custom queries, not the other way around. Our plugin does have nearly 750,000 downloads now. It is entirely possible they would be interested in adding support.
Thanks again. If everything is resolved to your satisfaction, would you mind marking this topic resolved? If not, please let me know what else I can do. Cheers!

ParticipantHi Brook, I will close this out after this comment. A member of the Headway dev team had this reply (they have a tight integration with Gravity Forms “baked in” to Headway) and I told him I would pass it on:
“Grant G Posts: 11,359 Support Guru, Administrators
John,
The reason we have such tight support for Gravity Forms is because the team over at GF worked closely with us to accomplish that.
If the developers would like the same, it would be very helpful if they would contact us and offer the same.”
Thanks Brook.February 12, 2014 at 7:29 am #103753jcav606
ParticipantBy the way Headway also has tight integration with WooCommerce as well.

ParticipantHowdy John,
That makes a lot of sense. It is good to know they would be interested in working with us. I will pass that up to the folks who make decisions about such things.
Thanks for pointing out the conflict and getting with the Headway folks.
