I’m referring to this set of shortcodes here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

I needed to create a custom list of the most recent three events on specific pages, so I modified template files (in my theme of course) to show them the way I need them. However, I need to limit the list to 3 only. Is there a parameter for the shortcode to only show 3? Using limit=”3″ doesn’t work. Can

Here is the example dev page: https://balancedrocksaloon.com/t-bar-social-club/

    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I would be happy to help you 🙂

If you use a shortcode such as this one: [tribe_events_list limit="3"], it should work.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Thanks for the tip. This shortcode has a different display – is there a different template it’s pulling from? I customized the template for the listing and this is not matching.

    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,

Could you show me through a test page how the shortcode renders on your website? Maybe we could fix your display problem via css?

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Here is how the first shortcode displays (under Upcoming Live Music) and how we want it to look:

    T-Bar Social Club

Here is a duplicate of that page with the shortcode you gave me:
    https://balancedrocksaloon.com/test/

I know how to fix CSS but my question is why do these look different? Is there a different template I need to customize?

    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,

To modify the output of the shortcode, you’ll want to use the methods described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

You’ll find the template for the [tribe_events_list] shortcode in wp-content/plugins/eventscalendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/lisy-widget.php. You might want to modify eventscalendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php as well.

You can also send optional details via the shortcode. You’ll find the full list on this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

    I hope this helps,

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
