ParticipantI set up a event calendar for a client and found error that I can’t resolve. For the first month all the events display fine, but
starting one month later the first row of the calendar falls apart. The first event on that day is duplicated into next day and the second event is moved from Tuesday to Monday and everything gets wrong. I deactivated all my plugins and did not find any plugin conflict. Please help!

KeymasterHi Radka,
Big thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums!
I’m really sorry you are having that problem, let’s try to fix that for you.
Could you please share with me a screenshot of the settings of that recurring event? I’m especially interested in how the timing and the recurrence is set up.
If I look at the ski conditioning event, it looks like that recurrence is set up for November 7, Monday, so it shows correctly on the calendar.
Give it a check and also send me the screenshot, we’ll figure this out. 🙂
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Andras,
thank you for reply. I am attaching requested screenshot.
There are other things I tried:
I tried ending the recurrence on Friday, November 4th and starting new one – did not help.
I also tried to end the recurrence on Friday the 4th, skipping the whole week and starting new one on Monday the 14th.
In both cases the calendar keeps adding the event on Tuesday and other classes get messed up.Radka

KeymasterHello Radka,
Thanks for sharing that screenshot with me. I’m sorry, I have to laugh, I managed to reproduce it and I find it totally funny!!! 🙂
I will submit this issue to our development team to check it out. (Maybe they will have a laugh too. 🙂 )
Meanwhile, if I understand, you want to run that event every Monday and Wednesday until Christmas or so. I find your setup a bit complicated for that, so give this one a try:
I saw your exclusion for Nov 24, but that is a Thursday, so if you want recurrences on Monday and Wednesday, than you don’t need to add Nov 24 as an exclusion.
Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions.
Cheers,

ParticipantAndras, thank you! This solved my issue partially but I still need help. I changed the recurrence setting for all the events but two of them are still ignoring my Thanksgiving break … 🙂 I included capture of my setting and screenshot of my calendar.

KeymasterHello Radka,
I see the issue and I managed to recreate it. This most probably comes from the difference of your server timezone (UTC 0) and your WordPress timezone (GMT -6) settings. Your event is November 24 @ 6am, if you take the -6 GMT (which I believe is UTC-7), then you get to November 23 @ 11pm. This is an issue we will need to investigate and I wanted to give you perspective on this.
Also, the issue disappears, if I set the event timezone to New York. (I know this is not a solution, just saying. 🙂 )
However, the good news is, there is a workaround for this.
First question is, is your server located in the UTC 0 timezone? If not, then I suggest you contact your hosting provider to fix that setting for you, and that should solve the issue.
If indeed your server is in UTC 0, then what you can do as a workaround is to set the exclusion date to November 23 and then it should disappear from the calendar.
I know this is weird 🙂 but it works.
Get back to me with what you find.
Cheers,
