    Hi there,

I’m trying to install the events calendar pro. I already had the pro before, but the license expired. So I purchased a new one under a different account and I’m trying to install it now. The reason I had to purchase a new one, and not renew, was because we no longer had access to the previous account to which it was purchased before. I’m up to the step where I choose Upload Plugin and it says that my upload has failed because there is already an existing calendar pro events plugin. I tried deactivating the existing one, but it still fails. Do I have to delete my existing events calendar pro in order to install the new one? And if I do, will I lose the content I have on my calendar? Or how will that affect my site?

I’m still trying to figure this out. Has anyone ran into this problem before?

    Hi,

Yes if there is a plugin present you cannot upload a new plugin. That is a requirement of WordPress.

If you want to reupload a plugin you must delete the existing plugin.

Deactivating and deleting Pro should not cause any data loss, but an issue could always come up so it is always best to back up your site before.

Let me know if you can get that to work.

    Thanks
