    Hi dear support team,

we are building a page where experts can sell courses and we use the product vendor plugin of Woothemes. Before I buy all your plugins I would like to know:

    – When using your Community Events plugin is it possible that only product vendors can create events and tickets? As we are using also the Sensei plugin (for the vendors to sell video courses) this means that only those users should be able to create events and tickets, which are either vendors or have role teacher. Is this possible?

    – When vendors create events (courses) and according tickets, are these tickets then also products? I am asking because I would like the courses, resp. tickets, to be listed in the products archive pages. This would be important because then the course tickets would also be included in the product search mechanisms, like the woocommerce layered nav widgets for searching through the products. For this to work it would be important that the tickets would be editable in the normal woocommerce product edit form to give them categories, tags and (most importantly) product attributes.

I hope I could explain my questions good enough. Thanks a lot in advance for helping me! If I have positive answers to those two questions, I would by all your plugins to get my functionality working.

    Hey,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

    • Sure thing, there are options within the Community Events settings to control which user roles have the ability to create and submit events through the community events submission form.
    • The tickets are created as products under WooCommerce. By default, they are hidden from the shop views that you’re describing but this can be easily modified within the settings of the ticket.

One additional note, in order to allow tickets to be created via the Community Events plugin you’ll need the Community Tickets plugin which is currently in beta. You can find out more about that plugin here.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
