Petros Rigas
ParticipantHello,
Yes I have a multi-site installation. However I’m currently only using The Event Calendar Pro plugin on my main site: http://www.projectvictor.com. I experimented with installation multi-site potentially considering setting my sub-domains.
Anyway, my plugin has been installed and activated on my main site only and not on the entire network. I enter the license and activate it. After a few days or weeks, and when there’s an upgrade, I get a message that my license is not active. There’s a message indicating I may be using the plugin within a multisite installation, which I am. But I’m not using the plugin except on the home domain. I do not have any intention to use on any other subdomain. I repeat, the plugin was installed but only activated on the main domain of the site.
It’s currently a nuisance to have to go back to into my account and copy the license key and activate again and again for an upgrade.
Please advise.

MemberHowdy Petros,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll try to help you here.
If you are not ‘network activating’ the plugin you can install it on the single sub-site using it. Does this makes sense or maybe I’m miss understanding the issue here? We have a knowledge base article going over how multi-site licenses work.
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for your response. I have not activated the plugin from multisite dashboard. I’ve only activated it on the main dashboard where I’m actually using the calendar. Still after some time and for some reason, I get a notification that I have to activated my license again.
Please advise.

MemberHey Petros,
Thanks for following up! Seems you are doing it the right way then. I will run some tests to see if this happens on my install as well and let you know about it.

MemberPetros,
I’m really sorry I didn’t get back to you before. I was out for the holidays and this issue has been out of my radar when I returned. I’ll run the said tests tomorrow and get back to you.
Really sorry about the delay 🙁

ParticipantI look forward to a solution Nico. Thank you.
For the updates, do I always have to download the update from the site, manually remove the plugin, and then install the update every time there’s a new release. I have done this possibly 5 or 6 times already. Shouldn’t it be possible to update right from my wp dashboard?January 21, 2016 at 6:28 am #1059935Nico
