    Cheers,

Is there a way to display two versions of the event calendar and event itself?

I would love to have users browse the calendar with the default events template activated, which works great on my website and allows for a cleaner look. I would want the events themselves to be displayed as pages with the right-sidebar activated. This allows for me to include both advertisements and other widgets while users read more information on the event.

If there’s no way to do this using the platform, is there a way for this to be customized by a third-party?

    Howdy Mattcuba,

That is definitely possible with a theme override. Just create one for single-event.php, as outlined in that tutorial. You could then add a sidebar with a widget area, or just add a sidebar and fill it with your advertisement code and such in PHP or HTML. Whatever you prefer.

Would that option work? Do you have any other questions?

    Cheers!

    Thanks Brook!

Is there a way to pay for this edit from either The Events Calendar staff or can you recommend a service that can make this edit?

I don’t want to mess anything up to be honest.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Howdy Matt,

You are not alone in that. So a while ago we started taking note of any freelancers who were knowledgeable. We even found a few who specialize in small jobs. If you email pro [at] tri.be you can get a list of them. Tribe only offers guidance and answers API questions, we unfortunately do not have a service to do dev work.

Thanks for posting! Let me know if you have questions. If not, mind marking this resolved? Cheers!
