Event background color overlapping multiple days

Much like Google’s calendar, is it possible to – for an event that spans multiple days – give it a solid background color so that it’s easy to see which events start and end and overlap? In this example, note how the yellow Vacation event has a solid background. I looked at the element classes to do this in CSS, but one thing that is lacking is a class that defines the first and the last day of the event to get the look I want.

I had a look at the example you shared, I see what you mean. It would be a nice feature to have, however it is not possible at the moment to have a colored background overlapping multiple days without some php customizations.

A user suggested a similar feature in our uservoice — you may vote as well, as feature requests getting the most votes will definitely be under our radar!
