ParticipantOn the site http://explorelivermore.com/events/ the images for the events are not being pulled in from Facebook.
I have the same system working fine on another site I built at FresYes.com and it’s pulling the images just fine.
I can’t find a setting I’m missing but we definitely want the images to show.
What’s wrong? How do I fix this?December 15, 2016 at 11:28 am #1206591Geoff
MemberHi Yvette,
Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums — I hope you’ve been enjoying Event Aggregator so far. 🙂
That’s super odd! Is the image not pulling for one specific Facebook event, or for any event that Event Aggregator attempts to import?
Would you be willing to send me the URL for one of the Facebook events that has an image that is not being picked up in the import? I’d like to try importing it on my test site to see if I get the same result.
Thanks so much!

ParticipantHi Geoff!
Mike Mueller here – (the web developer for the site). Here’s the calendar http://explorelivermore.com/events/
Looking at an upcoming event http://explorelivermore.com/event/santa-visits-alden-lane-nursery/
Here’s the FB event it’s pulling from https://www.facebook.com/events/205998456512224
This is happening with ALL the pulled events.I also built FresYes.com
Here’s their event calendar: http://www.fresyes.com/events/
Here’s a sample upcoming event: http://www.fresyes.com/event/fresnos-monthly-motown-night-at-fulton-55-5/
And the FB page for the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/570709733125333/Both sites use similar themes (Genesis) and the same plugins. The only difference is that FresYes was using an earlier Pro plugin and has a legacy events in the menu.

MemberHowdy Mike, thanks for following up!
The good news is that I tried importing the same event on my test site and it imported successfully with the featured image. Here is a screenshot of the import meta in the post editor.
That’s great news because it tells me that there does not seem to be a specific bug that would be preventing the image from importing by default.
However, this means that there is something different between your site and my test site. We need to pinpoint what that is.
I looked at your system information and it appears you are running the latest versions of the plugins, just like I am. That’s a good start.
I see you also indicated having tried the following:
- Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
- Switched to a default theme? Yes
Just to confirm., did you notice a difference in importing when you deactivated all other non-Modern Tribe plugins? How about when you switched to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Sixteen)? How about when you deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme together?
Let’s confirm that first. If the results are the same, then I think we’ll have to go through a deeper form of troubleshooting to find the difference.
Thanks so much!

ParticipantI looks like the latest batch of FB pulls is showing the featured image so for now it’s fixed.
Thanks for the effort!
