    Hello,

I set my client’s site up with the Event Aggregator and have a daily scheduled import from their Google Calendar. I think things have been mostly working, but they emailed me today to say that a particular event is not coming through. I verified that the event is not in there and I also triggered the scheduled event to run again. I had her send me a screenshot, which I’ll send privately. Any thoughts on how to get this guy through?

    Thanks.

    Hi Dorothy,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue!  It seems that this issue is actually related to the Google Calendar, and doesn’t have to do with something on our end.

I’d recommend trying to delete that event on Google Calendar, recreating it there, then trying to import it and see if everything works properly.

You may also be able to just change the calendar that the event is under, which may resolve the issue as well.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Courtney,

Thanks for going through some of those troubleshooting steps.

It may be that Event Aggregator isn’t grabbing that event because it isn’t on the same calendar as the other events.  Can you provide me with the URL that you are importing so that I can do some testing on my end as well?

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Courtney,

I do not see that event appearing on my site either.  One thing to check is Import Date Range Limit under Events Settings < Imports.  This setting will dictate how far in the future events will be fetched.  If you have it set to something like One Month, then events further in the future than one month will not be added to your calendar.

If that doesn’t do it, I’d recommend trying to recreate that event within the calendar that you want.  Is this an event that was created by your client or added by someone else?

Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Looks like that was the issue! I set the range to 3 months and it pulled it in. The event was on 2/26.

What’s weird, though, is that it had already imported many other events out beyond that? Was the range limitation added recently?

    Hi Courtney,

Glad you found the root of the issue!

That is strange though, that setting has been there for a while so I’m not sure why that occurred.  In any event, I’m glad that things are working now!

Did you have any other questions on this topic?

    Thanks,

    Jaime
