I have some 70 or so Facebook groups from which I import a couple events per month via ModernTribe Events Calendar and Event Aggregator. Unfortunately it’s creating a duplicate event for each event. I’ve manually deleted the lower one listed for each, but the fifth & sixth on https://faithrxd.org/events/list/ “Faith RX’d St. Petersburg: Fitness & Jesus” are examples.

I did not remove all other plugins or change themes because this is related to automatic imports which I don’t have the luxury of waiting for with everything on a different theme without plugins enabled.

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Can you update all of your Events Calendar related plugins and let me know if the issue still persists?

In the meantime, can you provide me with the URL that you are trying to import, so that I can do some testing on my end?

Also, can you enable and check the Event Log under Events < Help to see if you see anything unusual? Right under that is your Event Aggregator Status. Can you take a screenshot of what you see there?

Can you also please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?

Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

Hi Jim,

Thanks so much for providing me with this information!

I tried importing one of the Facebook URLs that you provided and did not see any duplicates appear on my site. Do you see these duplicates appear upon first import, or subsequent scheduled imports?

Can you try switching your Event Update Authority to Overwrite my event with any changes from the source under Events Settings < Imports and see if that helps?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

I imported the first Facebook Group that you provided and set up a scheduled import.  Upon first import, and subsequent imports, I am not seeing duplicate events appear.

Is there anything else in that process that I am missing?  Also, I noticed that on Facebook, the event takes place at 10pm on April 20, but on your site it is listed as 3am on April 21.  Is this intended?
