Hi, I have taken over a site, and updated from Events Calendar to Events Calendar Pro with Community Events.
My events return a 404 Page when clicking on them from the calendar or admin view.
It seems OK with the 2011 theme, the 2013 theme returns us to the ‘Home’ page while showing the correct slug. What options are there for making sure it works correctly with other themes?
Can you provide a URL where we can see this behaviour (the URL you provided when you created this thread seems to lead to a holding page). Thanks!
What I’d try in the first instance though is flushing the permalink/rewrite rules, just by visiting the Settings → Permalinks admin screen. However, it does rather sound like the problem boils down to a theme conflict, based on what you’re telling us. Can you provide any insight as to what your theme is and who wrote it?
Hi Barry,
The theme details are:
Stack

Version 1.1.3
I think I’ve flushed the permalinks, with no success.
The site is currently in development for an overhaul and running on test site, so has a coming soon mode running. I can give you access if it would help for a fast look?
In an update, in making the overall events slug and single event slug the exact same term, then the events information seems to show. Is this a normal method?
No, normally they would be distinct (ie events for the main slug and event for the individual slug). Your note that it doesn’t work as expected with Twenty Thirteen is also interesting (as for us we see no such problem) – can you confirm if it is still an issue with that theme when all other plugins are deactivated?
Thanks!
