Empty ticket emails

    So, I’ve been testing a new product that isn’t a ticket and I’m getting a strange happening after checkout.

    Steps:
    1. purchase using cheque method bc I don’t want to mess with paypal sandbox
    2. click processing in the backend
    3. Click complete in the backend

    Result:
    I’m getting the normal receipt emails but I’m also getting an email with the subject “Your tickets from tanya-b” (tanya-b is the store name). The emails are empty but they keep getting sent. Not sure if this is because of the payment method or if something is telling the system to send empty emails for no reason. Have you guys come across this yet? I couldn’t find another thread.

    We are sorry to hear about the empty ticket email you have been experiencing.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    The good news is that this is a known bug. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned as you will be contacted as soon as a bugfix is out!

    In the meantime, we have a workaround. You could add the following snippet to the functions.php file of your WordPress theme (just the content, not the actual opening PHP tag): https://git.io/vVoj9

    Hey there, Anna!

    I just wanted to chime in and let you know that Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus 4.1.2 were just released and included a patch for this issue. Please update to the latest version when you have a chance and let us know if you continue to have any issues. You can also remove the snippet that was provided to you as a workaround. 🙂
