    I see the post that the empty month view problem was caused by WP update 4.8.2. My website has not implemented that update yet, I am running WP 4.7.6, and the same problem has shown up, month view says no events found. List view works fine. I would assume if I did update WP to 4.8.2, I would still have the problem. I am running Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO level 4.4.5. If I update Events Calendar to 4.5.12.3 it will be out of sync with Events Calendar PRO, and this has caused me problems in the past. If I update Events Calendar to 4.5.12.3, what level of Events Calendar PRO is compatible?

    Still waiting for clarification on correct levels for Events Calendar, and Events Calendar PRO vs WP to resolve the blank month calendar issue.

    Hi John,

    I’m sorry for the delayed response here, but you should be alright running 4.8.2 with the most current versions – we did release a hot fix for this issue with The Events Calendar (4.5.12.3), as well as a maintenance release shortly after (TEC 4.5.13). Can you try updating everything in a test site just to make sure this resolves the issue? If you don’t have one already, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.

    Regarding the versions getting out of whack, updating them altogether is definitely preferred, as running an older version of Pro with new versions of TEC can occasionally cause problems. I’m not currently aware of any issues between Pro 4.4.5 and TEC 4.5.12.3/4.5.13, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t any. However, Pro is currently at 4.4.17, so I would recommend updating it as well along with TEC.

    Jennifer, I updated my Events Calendar to 4.6. The month calendar is now filled in. However, I found that recurring events were “not found”. After I did a deactivate – activate cycle for the Events Calendar plugin, the calendar started working correctly for display of a recurring event. I then updated Events Calendar PRO to 4.4.17. The same problem showed up. I did a deactivate – activate again for both Events Calendar & Events Calendar PRO and then the links to recurring events started working correctly again. Should I have deactivated these plugins before initiating an update?

    Hi John,

    I’m sorry that updating has been such a hassle for you! You should be able to go into your plugins section and click to update when you’re prompted to do so, without having to deactivate any plugins. I’m not sure what happened here with your recurring events disappearing, but it sounds like you were able to get everything running correctly at the latest versions?

    Going forward, I would recommend updating everything simultaneously in your testing environment before doing any updates on your live site. This way you can be sure that the newest versions and your theme and other plugins are all playing nicely together before rolling the changes out to your live site!
