    Hi,

I’ve used TEC before but never for a released website. Now I am again considering to add TEC for a project and before I subscribe for another year I’d like to know if it is possible to embed a short code into a page of a theme that is otherwise not compatible with TEC. I’m not looking to add individual events by event ID but by having a generic short code for all events. Also, is there a way to edit the single events page / template=

    Hi Manfred,

Welcome back! I’m happy to hear you’re considering using The Events Calendar again and I hope it will be a good fit.

Yes, our Events Calendar PRO add-on does include a slew of shortcodes that allow you to embed events in a number of ways:

Any of those will allow you to embed events into any WordPress page or post of your site — though not on other sites other than yours.

Also, is there a way to edit the single events page / template

Yes, absolutely. We have a Themer’s Guide that outlines how to override any template, including the single-event.php template.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
