hello-
i’d like to embed the ‘submit an event’ form into a page so that i can have more control of the layout, as well as provide some introductory text for instructions and context.
could you please advise on how i could go about this?
thanks!November 11, 2013 at 7:48 am #75625CaseyParticipantColuminate,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry, but that’s not currently possible without a lot of custom code, which we unfortunately can’t support. There are several supported ways to customize the form and other aspects of the Community add-on. Take a look at some of the Community Events Tutorials here (https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/) and let me know they accomplish what you’re hoping to do.
Thanks!

any other suggestions?November 12, 2013 at 5:33 am #75768CaseyParticipantSo, just to clarify, you changed it to ‘Default Page Template’? In your previous screenshot it said ‘Default Events Template’.
November 12, 2013 at 11:52 am #75840Aaron MaretParticipantthanks for clarifying. yes, i have tried both of these settings. it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
November 12, 2013 at 11:55 am #75842Aaron MaretParticipanti’ve been corresponding with the theme developer and this is what he proposed:
Hi, for not full-width page you need insert this class (you have a custom template for events calendar pro? )November 12, 2013 at 11:56 am #75843Aaron MaretParticipanthmm, the code (that he proposed) in that last post didn’t display. let me try again:
November 12, 2013 at 12:00 pm #75844Aaron MaretParticipantnope, that didn’t work either. how do i post code snippets? i tried using the ‘code’ tags. that didn’t work.
how about this:
