embed community events form in page

hello-
i’d like to embed the ‘submit an event’ form into a page so that i can have more control of the layout, as well as provide some introductory text for instructions and context.
could you please advise on how i could go about this?

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry, but that’s not currently possible without a lot of custom code, which we unfortunately can’t support.

There are several supported ways to customize the form and other aspects of the Community add-on. Take a look at some of the Community Events Tutorials here (https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/) and let me know they accomplish what you’re hoping to do.

Go to ‘Events->Settings->Display’ and change your page template to ‘Default Page Template’ and let me know if that helps with the full width display.

So, just to clarify, you changed it to ‘Default Page Template’? In your previous screenshot it said ‘Default Events Template’.

thanks for clarifying. yes, i have tried both of these settings. it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

i’ve been corresponding with the theme developer and this is what he proposed:
