I submitted a question and received a response email however I cannot respond to that email and am getting extremely frustrated with the events calendar.

My original question was regarding embedding a calendar view on a page in my clients site AND having the those embedded events disappear automatically based on the END date, not the start date (for events that are multiple days). The response I received is pasted at the end of this message and does not answer my question about disappearing on end date rather than start.

After receiving the response I am even more frustrated with the events calendar because it appears as though these shortcodes can only be used with the pro version and I see that the Pro version cost is about $130 CAD – my client has maxed out their budget and does not have extra for this, so I would have to pay for this from my own pocket. Any chance you could please help me out with the cost? This has been quite the headache already receiving different plugins that don’t work, responses that don’t answer questions, and so much more. If this is the price, I will have to search out other options but if these codes do work and the calendar works as I hope it will, then I can assure that this extra cost will be automatically worked in to quotes in the future and I will purchase it for other clients sites without batting an eye. Thanks in advance for your support, I do truly appreciate it.

    Hi there Leslie

You can use Calendar View Shortcodes https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/ and Widget Shortcodes https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/ for Events Calendar Pro https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/ to achieve this.

We have a few other shortcodes for things such as single events https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-single-events-tribe_event_inline-shortcode/.

Can you review these to see if any of these options would fit your site’s needs?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi Leslie,

Thanks so much for reaching out again here!

Courtney was correct in saying that these shortcodes are only available with the paid version of our plugin, Events Calendar PRO.

We don’t currently have any promotions available, but you are welcome to check back in the future to see if we offering any discounts.

As far as embedded events being removed by end date, this functionality should work by default.  Although I do not know the exact scenario that you are referring to, I tested this functionality myself, and an event that has started but has not yet ended still appears in my Upcoming Events.

We have a great 30-day full refund policy, so if things really don’t work out the way you’d hoped, you can get a full refund.

Also, feel free to check out our demo site here.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
