ParticipantI am using Event Ticket Plus and WooCommerce with Easy WP SMTP configured and still the emails to the attendee do not send. I’ve confirmed that the PHP GDlib is enabled and have successfully tested the SMTP email using the built in tool. Please help me with this issue…I’ve found other knowledgebase posts but the messages were marked as private, so the solution was not apparent.

ParticipantI would very much appreciate some assistance with this issue. Could someone please take a peek at this issue? We’ve got everything else working, but the email issue is confounding. One additional note, I am unable to increase the PHP memory limit beyond 32M. If that is a critical factor, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your technical expertise.

MemberHi Wayne!
Thanks for reaching out to us.
I’m sorry you are experiencing that issue.
I’m not really sure how the Easy WP SMTP plugin works, but Event Tickets makes use of the default wp_mail() function to send the emails, so any change made to this default WordPress function, either with some custom code or via a plugin, is really dependant on that side of things to work.
Are you not able to send any other emails with your WordPress intallation or is it only the Ticket email which isn’t working? What happens if you deactivate the Easy WP SMTP plugin? Does the ticket email get sent?
Let us know about it and we’ll try to help as much possible.
Thanks,

ParticipantVictor,
I tested with the wp_mail() function and the ticket email didn’t send, yet, the test function on Easy WP SMTP did work. Responses to posts on your forums from support regarding this issue suggested to use Easy WP SMTP to go around that function. So I tried that. No go. I went back and disabled all plugins and reverted to TwentyFourteen and tested it again (using the Action to resend ticket emails from the event page in admin) and it didn’t sent the email. What else should I try?-

ParticipantHere is a screen shot of the first order. Note that the message at top indicates the email already sent…therefore, I’m using the drop down in the image to show you what action and from what page (meaning, the order page).

MemberHi Wayne!
Thanks for clearing that out and for making all those tests.
If after deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme did not send the ticket email, then this is mostly sure because you your server is not enabling the php mail() function.
To confirm this, are you able to send other emails in your site? You could try resending the order email and see if it works.
If it doesn’t, then you could make use of the Easy WP SMTP plugin. This plugin basically prevents the use of the mail() function from PHP and instead force all emails to use SMTP with an external server like Google.
You should perhaps verify that the SMTP settings are correctly configured.
Let me know how that goes.
