Hi, when the email is sent to the purchaser with the tickets, the email is titled

    ‘Your course tickets from {sitename}’

where do I chnage this so that the actual sitenmae appears. I have fixed for all the other emails through the woocommerce settings.

btw… quick additional question. The recent updates have stated ‘moved CSS to Post CSS…. what does this mean? and what if any are the implications?

    Hello John,

You should be able to achieve that with a bit of customization.
You can find more info on this in our Themer’s Guide. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

More closely, you will most probably need to override this file in your theme’s directory: wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php

Let me know if that gets you started.

    Cheers,
    Andras

I can certainly do this, but I find it hard to believe that the plugin doesn’t have the feature to fix this. Why would anyone want to send an email where the address that appears in the purchasers in box has this title?? It maybe I haven’t made the problem clear.. I have attached screenshots..

With all the other emails sent to the purchaser through woocommmerce it looks like screenshot ’email 1′ but the email the user gets when the tickets arrive looks like screenshot ’email’

    Hello again John,

I’m sorry about the misunderstanding of your problem. Now it is definitely clear. This is definitely not normal behavior.

To be able to help you I’d like to ask you to do couple of things:

    1. Please share with me your system information, based on this guide.

    2. Run a test for conflicting plugins / themes. Here is a write up to help you how to do that.

    3. When you got that result, did you do an actual purchase or did you send out a test email?

    4. Do you have any customizations which might affect that?

    Eagerly waiting for your answers.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hi , I changed theme to 2012 and deactivated all plugins except the modern tribe and woocommerce core plugin

    I had the same problem

I notice that in woocommerce the email short code displays as {site_title} whereas the events tickets seems to be
{sitename} I mention it, in case it is relevant.

    Hey John,

So far I haven’t been able to reproduce your issue. Here is what I did:

    • Only plugins: TEC, EC Pro, Event Tickets, ET+, WooCommerce, all up to date
    • Create and event with a WooCommerce ticket and RSVP
    • Go to the front end, order a ticket / RSVP, checkout, place order
    • In backend go to WooCommerce > Orders and mark order to completed on the order list page via clicking on the Complete button in the Actions column
    • Check email subject. I received “Your tickets from TEC”

Are you doing anything different? Can you send me the steps you are doing to recreate the issue?

In your original post you said the subject is “Your course tickets from {sitename}”. Is there some customization, because normally it only says “Your tickets from …” without course.

    Thanks and cheers,

    Andras

PS: {sitename} should be absolutely fine.

Hi, I followed the same process you outlined above..

I also deactivate all but the necessary plugins and switched from my child theme. But I have the same problem.

I noticed you placed an order , which I have confirmed. What do you see at your end?

Which file would generate this email title? src/email.php ??? Perhaps I will have to add it to my child theme and force the right name through the code??

I think I have solved the problem 😉 in the woocommerce email settings there are options for amending the subjects for the emails.. The option for the Event tickets says

”Your course tickets from {sitename}’ it then states it will default to {site_title} but clearly it isn’t.

    I amended the subject to ‘Your course tickets from {site_title}

and it seems to have worked.

    Hi John,

I am glad to see you were able to figure it out. I also learned something new. 🙂

Since this seems solved, I am going to go ahead and close this ticket. If you have a similar issue or another in the future, please do not hesitate to create a new one. We’ll be here to help you out.

    Cheers,
    Andras

PS: If you like our plugin, we would be happy to receive a review in the wordpress.org repository. Thanks!
